The Marshall MG100DFX is a 100 watt, 1x12 inch guitar combo amplifier that has an aggressive, powerful tone, all packed into a deceptively small device that is perfect for the road.

This one will fit right into the trunk of your car for those spontaneous gigs.

It’s lighter and more portable than most of the amps that give a similar performance.

One of the great things about this amp is its versatility.

It is a good, solid amp for a beginner practicing in a garage, but it is still powerful enough for a pretty fair sized gig.

This amplifier has two foot-switchable channels, clean and overdrive. The clean channel offers clean and crunch, and the overdrive channel, of course, offers OD1 and OD2.

With either channel, you get tone controls that offer treble, middle, and bass. There is also a contour control offered with the overdrive channel.

The clean channel is great for blues and other genres that sound best with a rich, resonating, “fat” tone.

The “crunch” mode is especially popular for a bluesy sound. In clean mode, there is plenty of headroom so you can get a beautiful performance out of it, even at higher volumes.

The overdrive channel on the Marshall MG100DFX has, as stated earlier, a choice between OD1 and OD2.

OD1 is the one you choose when you are looking for that unmistakable, vintage Marshall tone.

It’s the down and dirty rock and roll option. OD2 is heavy, aggressive, and raw.
