Buy Martin Guitar

Martin guitars are expensive, and if you are looking for a cheaper Martin, you need to be willing to shop around for a while to find a good deal.

The good news is that a true Martin guitar is often worth the price, even if it’s higher than others.

One of the best places I have found to buy Martin guitars is on eBay. This site is a hotbed of good deals on what would normally be very expensive stuff.

There are some things you need to know before buying something on eBay, though…especially on a purchase as big as a musical instrument.

Feedback.

eBay has a feedback system that means every single person who has ever bought an item from a particular seller has rated that seller.

The feedback is displayed prominently, and shows how many feedbacks they have received, and what percentage of that is positive.

A seller with 837 feedbacks, and they are 99.8% positive would be much better to buy from than a seller with 34 feedback, and show 96% positive.

That’s just an example, but the rule is simple. The higher the feedback number and percentage, the better the seller.

Description.

There is a lot of room in an eBay listing for the seller to describe the item they are selling.

If you are going to buy Martin guitars used on eBay, then you need to look for a detailed and thorough description.

“This guitar is in good shape” just won’t cut it.

You want the seller that describes every little thing about their guitar…right down to the flaws.

Remember, the seller is required to accurately describe their merchandise.

eBay protects the buyers, meaning that if an item isn’t as described, the seller loses the sale and gets in trouble. Photos.

Ebay allows sellers to post photographs of their merchandise right there in the auction listing. Look for sellers that provide several, and that give all possible views and angles of the guitar.

You need the seller that takes a photo from every possible angle (top, bottom, both sides, ends), and who zooms in and provides a tight shot of the headstock, neck, and body of the guitar, as well as a close-up of any flaws.

The better and more detailed the photos are, the better idea you will have of the item you are purchasing.

Questions.

Ebay sellers want you to buy that Martin guitar or whatever else it is they are selling.

It’s in their best interest to help people out and keep them happy and interested.

Therefore most eBay sellers are happy to answer questions, so feel free to email them with any concerns you might have about the instrument.

Some sellers are even willing to take additional photos and send to you, if you ask them nicely!

Buying Martin guitars used is complicated; you want to make sure you are getting what you pay for.

It is scary to buy something like that online, but the system is much better than it has been in the past, and eBay is now a very safe and low risk place to buy Martin guitars and other items at great prices.
