Fender Deluxe Amps!
Review of All Fender Deluxe Amplifiers
The Fender Deluxe is more than one thing, so you may have to clarify your intentions to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Lots of things that have rolled off the lines at Fender have the words Fender & Deluxe in their names.
Do you know which of these you’re looking for?
Fender isn’t exactly trying to confuse you, but they’re probably doing a pretty good job of it anyway.
You’re probably talking amplifiers, but even that isn’t certain.
There’s a good chance you’re looking for Fender's Deluxe Reverb, a tube combo amp -- or Fender's recent reissue model, the ‘65 Deluxe Reverb.
The Hot Rod Deluxe could also be what you’re looking for.
Like many other Fender amp models, it’s almost as popular now as when it first came to market.
In fact, most things from Fender with Deluxe in the name are great things to have.
It’s hard to estimate how many guitar players have carried one of Fender's Deluxe version amps on stage with them
Fender's currently available Deluxe VM amplifier takes the Deluxe into “Vintage Modified” territory by giving you a real tube amp that includes essential effects, all in a 40-watt amp that’s powerful enough for most performance venues.
A cousin of the Hot Rod Deluxe is the reissue Blues Deluxe, a tube amp for around a thousand dollars that delivers the same sound as the original Blues Deluxe rather than the refined tone of the Hot Rod Deluxe.
This reissue model, like the original on which it was based, has found popularity with professional players of rock, country and, of course, blues.
There’s even a Fender Mini Deluxe amp that pumps out a whopping one watt of sound.
That won’t do for a gig of any size, but this $50 amp is perfect for dorm-room living and those who are more interested in messing around than being seen playing around town.
And don’t confuse any of these amplifiers with the Fender American Deluxe line of electric guitars.
You see, “deluxe” is a fancy word that indicates quality, and Fender has latched onto it for a variety of uses.
Apparently, someone at Fender thinks having that word in a product names makes it seem really important.
Deluxe describes a great grouping of amplifiers for Fender -- including many more models than mentioned here.
And it even includes some electric guitars.
Decide which of these products you’re looking for, then keep exploring until you find the deluxe experience you seek.
