Fender Stratocaster Deluxe
The Fender Stratocaster Deluxe, using technology to improve your sound. Jimi Hendrix had a knack for somehow coaxing sounds out of his Fender Strat that no one else seemed to be able to. The eerie wails that were a mystery, and a signature, for Hendrix are actually not that difficult if you know what the trick was. Actually, now you can get a guitar that makes those sounds with no extra effort at all. Isn’t technology grand? The old trick was to take a Fender Strat and wedge something (a matchstick was popular) into the pickup selector, essentially sticking it in between two normal positions. Hendrix took this a step further by moving it around while playing, causing his guitar to wail as though in pain. …Maybe it was. What's the new trick? Go out and buy yourself a Fender Stratocaster Deluxe. It features a five-way pickup selector with a bonus…an S1 switch that gives you twice the options. Know that little FM2 button on that old radio in your dad’s truck that lets you pre-set 12 stations instead of 6? Yep…it's the same concept. There is a whole range of colors to choose from, too. You aren’t stuck with the classic sunburst, but of course, if you are a traditionalist, the sunburst is an option. So is “Candy Tangerine,” “Montego Black,” and Chrome or Amber. These are the colors available with the Fender American Stratocaster Deluxe. If you shop outside the US, you can find some other colors. Do you have something to add to this page? Pick guard colors are also a little flashier than in previous years… the black guitar will have a flashy gold vinyl pick guard, and the amber-colored one has a complementing brown shell. Going for chrome? Black shell finishes out the radical look. Beyond color, the Stratocaster Deluxe offers plenty of other perks, such as staggered locking tuning machines, strap locks, and maple or rosewood fret boards. The pickups are silent, the colors are gorgeous, and the non-Fender parts are discreet…there are no flashy logos to draw attention. The neck is C-Shaped with rolled edges, and made of maple or rosewood. The Fender Stratocaster Deluxe is a work of art with a versatile voice. You can set her up one way and she has a sharp tongue with snappy sounds. Change a few things and she can have a deep, rich voice. Flip another switch for a sexy whiskey-roughened whisper. The possibilities are endless, and can entertain even the most spastic rocker for days exploring the range of sounds he can create. Add this to a flashy style, a solid build, and portability; and you have a guitar for everybody. The Fender Strat Deluxe is definitely worth the cost if you are seriously looking for a guitar that can grow with you.
