Gibson ES 339!

Gibson ES 339

Even though the Gibson ES 339 is smaller, its upgrades and design pull deep resonate tones out of the guitar.

If you’re looking for a Gibson with the rich, resonant sound of a hollow-body, but want the portability and ease of playing a smaller instrument like the typical solid-bodies, then you’re in luck.

Gibson's ES 339 combines the best of both of these worlds, and is an all-around great guitar.

This semi-hollow body guitar is reminiscent of the ES 335, which is popular for its hollow sounding, full tones.

The deep-voiced guitars are famous, but very big.

The ES 339 offers almost that same rich sound with a smaller body.

The feel of this model is a lot like the older Les Paul’s that everyone knows and loves.

Great thing is, Gibson managed to trim down the size without ruining the shape and style of the ES 335.

If you are a musician that is…er, fun-sized, then this is a great model for you, because no one is likely to even notice your guitar isn’t as big as it might be.

Your sound will be as big as the next guys.

The ES 339 is made to look like a perfectly preserved classic from the 50s.

All the sweet goodies that everyone loves and looks for on the ES 335’s are there, right down to the little details.

The cute little tulip tuners and nickel hardware are still there, along with the 57 humbuckers.

It has a stop tailpiece and an old-fashioned lacquered finish.

There are a few things that did change, though…and all for the better, because Gibson listened to all the fans and their suggestions.

The output jack used to be on top of the guitar; now it’s on the side, where the cable won’t cramp your style.

The neck is still long and skinny, but just a little deeper, and there is a thicker one offered for those who like it that way.

Other little tweaks were made here and there to modernize the guitar and add some of the little things that make it sound so great.

You can pick up a Gibson ES 339 online or in a guitar store, and have a choice of colors…there is a Light Carmel Burst, an Antique Red (flashy), or you can go traditional and pick one up with the Vintage Sunburst that everyone knows and loves.
