Gibson Les Paul GT

The Gibson Les Paul GT Demands Respect!

Those of you who call yourselves artists, musicians, guitarists…stick with your Les Paul Standard. It’s a great guitar with good clean sounds and a few fun features.

The Standard is a guitar worthy of respect.

Gibson Les Paul GT

Now for those of you who sneer at the word “artist” and cringe at the thought of being just another musician…the unnamed guitarist off to the side of the stage, there is the Gibson Les Paul GT.

This guitar deserves more than respect, it demands people to stand up, shut up, and listen.

The GT is a powerhouse version of the Les Paul Standard, and was introduced in 2006.

It is basically the same instrument down deep, with some new bells and whistles to set it apart.

Gibson took a regular guitar and added some features to make it a little bolder than the norm.

Strap locks keep it from flying out of your hands when you really get into things, and the tuners are chrome and lock in place so you don’t lose pitch.

The neck of the GT is thicker and heavier than it is on the Standard, and the added weight makes for a heavy-duty guitar.

One drawback is that you won’t be flitting around the stage like a fairy with this one weighing you down…well that might not be a negative thing after all.

The first GT even came with flames.

If the flames on the original Les Paul GT are a little cheesy for your taste, there are a few more options available.

There is a limited edition Fire Engine Red version, but you’re going to pay a lot for it…more than the three grand a GT would normally set you back.

You could also find them on eBay in candy apple, candy orange, Daytona green or muscle green, and phantom black. There is a GT to fit everyone.

The great thing about the GT, other than the tough build, sturdy neck, great sound, awesome playability…wait, where was I?Oh…versatility.

This guitar, while set up and perfect for heavy metal, can run the gamut from blues to rock to alternative to grunge.

There isn’t much that this instrument can’t do.

If you have the money lying around, or a loved one’s credit card, then this is the one to buy.

There is nothing like the Gibson Les Paul GT.
