Marshall Amplifiers are possibly the most well-known and respected amplifiers on the market today.

Chances are when you are at your favorite musicians concert they are being back up by a Marshall Stack.

Known for producing louder sound than the competition, many bands will back themselves with a wall of Marshall amps.

Marshall Amplification is a British company founded by Jim Marshall.

Originally Marshall gave drumming lessons and sold musical equipment.

As time went on Jim knew he could produce a better amp for a cheaper price.

So he started his mission, enlisting two of his friends to help with the electrical details.

Their idea was to take the then popular fender amps -- replicate and improve them. The end result was the JTM 45.

With a closed back cabinet and four 12-inch speakers the “Marshall Sound” was introduced into the world.

As guitar rock music grew so did the demand for louder more powerful amps.

Pete Townshend of The Who began working with Marshall to satisfy his thirst for louder rock.

The result was the Marshall Stack, and rock would never be the same.

Marshall has continued to push the limits with their amps, and is still favored by top musicians.

Throughout the years they have worked with Jimi Hendrix, Zakk Wylde, and Slash among many others.

Their newest amps have more power and distortion than ever, keeping smiles on the faces rockers everywhere.
