Martin 000-28

Acoustic Guitar Review!

Martin 000-28

You can’t go wrong with a guitar custom designed by the great Eric Clapton.

The 000-28 is beautifully put together for a smooth blues sound.

Martin 000-28

Made entirely of solid woods, just opening the case will bring the wonderful smell of spruce to the room.

The top of the guitar is made of Sitka spruce and covered in a quality gloss.

The body is made of East Indian rosewood, and the fret board is made of ebony.

With fourteen frets there is plenty of room for blues lickin.

Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of the guitar’s construction is the dovetail connection from the neck to the body.

Less quality guitars connect the neck to the body with a bolt, but not the 000-28.

This acoustic guitar has so many great qualities.

The action on the guitar is really good.

The strings are a perfect distance from the fret board, and playability is nice making this a great acoustic for both strumming and playing lead.

The frets are very nicely finished, which adds a great deal to the look of the guitar.

The guitar very rarely goes out of tune.

There is nothing more obnoxious than trying to play a gig, or even just jam with a guitar that is constantly going out of tune.

When you are in the middle of a song and you notice that your guitar has slipped out of tune there is nothing you can do but finish your song with that terrible flat sound destroying everything.

You can play this guitar confidently, knowing that it won’t embarrass you.

This is a great live guitar, just mic it up and play.

You’d think that the price for a guitar such as this one would be outrageous, but it is surprisingly affordable, and relatively inexpensive compared to many other martin guitars.

The Martin 000-28 is lacking in a few areas.

The volume on the guitar is not as loud as many would like for it to be.

This can be an issue when playing lead, without playing pretty hard it can be difficult to hear over other instruments.

This guitar does not generally come with a pickup, which is a little bit of an issue especially because it is already lacking a little bit in volume.

You can put a pickup in the guitar, and it sounds great.

I don’t know why they don’t just put them in the guitar to begin with.

Lastly, the neck is a little bit smaller than most guitars, and if you have large hands this could be a little bit of an issue.

The Martin 000-28 is a relatively inexpensive guitar, great for blues and many other styles. It is highly recommended.
