Taylor 30th Anniversary Guitar!

Special Acoustic Guitar With Waverly Tuners!

Taylor 30th Anniversary Guitar

Taylor Guitars reached their 30th anniversary of guitar making in 2004, and Bob Taylor celebrated that achievement with the 30th Anniversary Guitar, also known as the XXX-RS.

It is a very limited edition, exclusive model. Taylor only made 300 of them, so the $5400.00 price tag is not surprising. It is a beautiful Grand Concert guitar with a flawless finish and an understated elegance.

As with all Taylor guitars, the XXX-RS is made with the utmost care and precision, and with only the finest materials.

Taylor 30th Anniversary Guitar

The body of this model is carved from a solid piece of Indian Rosewood, and the top is made of Sitka Spruce.

The neck is satin-finished and made of mahogany, and features a smooth ebony fretboard with twenty frets.

Even the Tuners are Waverly…nothing but the highest quality for a limited Taylor.

This guitar has the best features from guitars made over the last century…the slotted peg head is borrowed from a more classic pre-1930’s style, and the smaller (it has a slightly shorter scale length) body and pearl with gold (real 18 karat gold) inlays are all modern.

The internal bracing is a modern addition too, borrowed from the high-end Taylor’s made in 2002.

It is an X-style brace shifted in the guitar so that it is situated closer to the sound hole (about an inch) to give a stronger bass sound, but still sound clean with hard playing.

Taylor's 30th Anniversary Guitar is a work of art from top to bottom…even the abalone trimming is elegant and beautiful.

Dimensions of this guitar are as follows:

  • Overall length 40 1/2 inches
  • Scale length 24 7/8 inches
  • Body width 19.5 inches and 15 inches
  • Body depth 4 3/8 inches
  • Neck width 1 ¾ inches at the nut

This more compact design and slender neck make the Taylor 30th Anniversary guitar a very comfortable one to play, either sitting or standing.

Whether you’re performing or recording, this guitar looks, feels, and sounds amazing.

According to the few people lucky enough to own one of these fine guitars, this model is worth the high price in every way.
