The Taylor Story
Bob Taylor & Kurt Lustig, owners of Taylor, purchased a company and started working together in 1974.
Starting with just acoustic guitars, the brand now branches out to semi acoustic, acoustic electric, solid body, and even bass guitars.
Taylor grew its company by producing high quality acoustic guitars and distributing them to dealers.
After over thirty years of success as an owner Bob Taylor and Kurt Lustig must look back and smile at their story.
They went from two salaried employees, to buying out the company they worked for and building their dream.
Today it is estimated that they have close to 500 million dollars in gross sales.
Their main manufacturing plant has grown from its humble beginnings to a 45,000 square foot factory and office.
So what is the next step for Taylor?
According to inside sources they will be opening a European headquarters in Amsterdam.
Taylor not only makes great guitars, they also have a great story to go with it.
